Please join us for an Exploring / Venturing Officers Association Event this Saturday (10.29.16) at Grandad’s Apples N’ Such (2951 Chimney Rock Rd., Hendersonville, NC 28792)! We will gather at 2pm and then have fun getting lost in the corn maze. Remember to bring $4 to enter the maze, they also have other activities and yummy goodies available as well!! Everyone is welcome to join us.

EOA / VOA Election and Corn Maze Event

       
 

Come Join Us for The EOA and VOA Election Event!

What: We will be having the EOV/ VOA Election and Corn Maze Event
When: October 29th at 2PM
Where: Granddad’s Apples N’ Such

What do I need to do?
If you know of someone you think would be fit for leading the way for the Exploring Officers Association or the Venturing Officers Association (including Sea Scouts), then please nominate them or you may also nominate yourself. CLICK HERE to receive the nominating application and send it in to: Daniel Boone Council Office, Attn: E/VOA Election Nomination, 333 W. Haywood St., Asheville, NC 28801. Then come to the election event on October 29th at 2pm at Granddad’s Apples N’ Such (2951 Chimney Rock Rd., Hendersonville, NC 28792). After the elections, please stay and have fun getting lost in the corn maze and remember to bring $4 to enter the corn maze. They also have other activities and yummy goodies available as well!!

What do I need to turn in?
Make sure to fill out a nomination application if you know someone who would be fitting for this roll or maybe you yourself are interesting in providing leadership to this roll. If for some reason you are not able to make it to the event, please send your vote to the council office by October 28th at 5PM. If you have questions pertaining to Venturing, please email me at Sarah.Barnett@Scouting.org or if you have questions pertaining to Exploring, please contact Alice Courtland at Alice.Courtland@Scouting.org. If for some reason we do not have enough participation, we will have to postpone the elections to a later date but we will most definitely continue on with the corn maze!


Hopefully we will see you at this event! As always, we are excited about getting out there and having fun! So come one, come all, and make sure to cast your vote!!!

Don’t Forget to Register!!!
Terrora has two upcoming events that you doing want to miss!

For our new Tiger we have a day just for you! This will be on October 15th at the Edneyville Community Center. Bring a picnic lunch and we’ll provide a morning & afternoon snack.  Activities include bbs, archery, nature, crafts, games and other “roaring” great activities.  Check-in: 8:45-9:15am and FUN from:  9:15am-2:30pm.  Cost is only $10 per Tiger Scout/Parent Combo. You won’t want to miss out on the “Roaring” good time!

For our Boy Scouts, we have a Camporee coming up on October 28-30th. This will be located at the beautiful Guion Farms in DuPont Forest. Check in will start at 5PM on Friday, Oct. 28th. Make sure to register before October 21st for the early bird price of $10 per person. After that date, the price goes to $15 per person. Everyone will receive an awesome event patch and have an opportunity to buy a glow in the dark patch!
